The Thule DoubleTrack Pro XT 2 is a bike rack that requires some form of top tube bar to secure the bike. The top hook is adjustable to fit bikes of different inclines and can be attached to both 1.25" and 2" hitch receivers. The rack comes with a Snug Tite receiver lock included, but customers recommend using additional locks to secure the bikes. It may not be compatible with bikes that have very deep step-thru frames. Customers have reported issues with assembly and unclear instructions, but overall the finished product is of great build quality. The rack may cause the back-up alarm to sound when attached and can be challenging to remove from the car. When carrying two bikes, the frame lockdown arms may not hold both bikes securely if the arm height is not adjusted correctly. The rack works well for one full suspension MTB but may not be suitable for bikes without a top tube or very shallow step-thru styles.
