Answer: Yes, you have to drill into the middle of your stripped screw and then use your SpeedOut with a pair of pliers or a ratchet hand. -

I have a stripped screw down inside a metal hole about an inch. Will this get that out? No idea of the size.
Answer: Maybe, but only if both sets of threads are not damaged, and you can use a drill press with a vise. With damaged threads, you may not be able to penetrate deeply enough into the stripped screw to be effective, which may also be true with good threads if you are on the far side of an inch. -

Answer: It is made in China, but one of the reviewers claims that the quality is not good and extracting an old screw is very difficult. -

Has anyone used it to extract a stripped screw from a laptop?
Answer: Assuming the laptop's screws are quite small, make sure that the SpeedOut kit offers you a small enough screw to even try. By the way, since a laptop screw is likely not rusted, you might be able to use a small set of pliers squeezed 'open' in the remaining screw slots to see if you can twist it out. Once you get a couple of turns, you can use those same pliers to grab the protruding outside of the screw and try to twist it out the rest of the way. Hope that helps. -

Will this work on pentalobe, tiny hinge screws on MacBook Pro, Eathtek new 6pcs/set t6 hinge screw screws for Apple MacBook Pro unibody 13 /15 /17'?
Answer: It should work on most damaged screws, but I don't know specifically about the tiny screws on the MacBook. I hope this helps. -
