The shoes are removable, and the puppet fits into children's 18-month clothes, with a shoe sole measuring 5" x 2.5". It comes with a hand rod that is around 24 inches long. The puppet is washable, but it is recommended to hand wash it. The material for the mouth is probably some kind of cardboard. The puppet is not a copy of the Muppets Ernie and Burt, this is Jose. It is a good quality product, and suitable for kids' crusades and puppeteers.
