Master Lock Keyed Padlocks Editorial Review
The Master Lock 130D Solid Brass Padlock is a sturdy and durable lock that is suitable for outdoor use. Made mostly of brass, it is resistant to weather conditions and can withstand the elements without any issues. The lock comes with a 3/16-inch thick shackle, making it difficult for potential thieves to break or tamper with. The shackle measures about 5/8ths of an inch from the inside to the top of the lock when in the locked position. One of the standout features of this lock is that it comes with two keys. This is a standard feature for most Master Lock padlocks, providing an extra level of convenience and security. Customer reviews indicate that while the lock is strong and reliable, it may not be the best choice for securing high-value items such as bikes or sheds. Some mention that it can be picked open with relative ease, especially for experienced lock pickers. However, it is still Considered a good option for preventing unauthorized access to drawers or for use as a deterrent on less vital items. Overall, the Master Lock 130D Solid Brass Padlock is a solid choice for lightweight security needs. Its durability, weather resistance, and additional key make it a suitable option for those looking for a simple lock for everyday use.
