Century Drill & Tool Extension, Pulley & Nut Taps Editorial Review
The Century Drill & Tool Spiral Flute Screw Extractor Set (73415) has garnered a positive reception among customers, particularly for its effective performance in extracting broken fasteners. Many users have praised the set for its ability to tackle seemingly impossible extractions, such as broken spark plugs in complicated engine assemblies, where traditional screw extractors fail. Reviewers detail successful experiences, emphasizing the efficiency of the square design compared to conventional screw type extractors. Individual testimonies note that the extractor set is particularly effective and affordable, making it a valuable addition for DIY enthusiasts and professional mechanics alike. Customers appreciated the ease of getting broken parts out of tight spots, with reports of removing stripped screws, bolts, and even hollow threaded rods from air compressor tanks. However, there are some minor complaints regarding the required drill bit sizes, particularly the 9/64 bit, which is noted as being hard to find. Additionally, while the variety of sizes in the kit is overall beneficial, a significant size jump between certain extractors has been highlighted as a potential challenge for users needing intermediate sizes. Overall, the Century Drill & Tool Spiral Flute Screw Extractor Set represents a reliable tool for extractions that might otherwise necessitate extensive rework or mechanical intervention, making it a worthwhile investment for those frequently dealing with broken or stripped fasteners. **
