That’s why the HOPE Floating Disc Rotor is designed to resist warping, even under the most extreme heat from sustained braking. The secret lies in its innovative floating design, consisting of a CNC-machined aluminum carrier riveted to a laser-cut stainless steel outer rotor.
When the outer rotor heats up, it expands. Unlike traditional rotors, the floating design allows it to expand and shrink independently from the center carrier, preventing any permanent deformation and ensuring pristine performance. Each rotor is available in five anodized color options, allowing you to find the perfect complement to your HOPE brakes. And don't worry, they can also be used with other brake brands, but it's important to check the clearance with your caliper once everything is installed.
The rivets sit about 1mm above the braking surface, and you definitely don't want them making contact with your brake pads. To ensure a seamless installation, you may need a HOPE disc brake adapter depending on your frame and fork mounting style as well as your desired rotor size.
